Some things just get better with age….

Sugar RUSH

At Clock we work hard, we push ourselves mentally, we think beyond the norm, we love our work, we thrive on a challenge, we don’t take no for an answer, we hate complacency, we know no boundaries. How do we do this you might ask? Well, we eat a shed load of bad sugary goodness everyday that’s how…

Cream tea anyone!?

Christmas is a matter of weeks away. So here at Clock we’ve decided to start the weightloss programme that will help us lose that extra inch intime for an indulgent holiday season. And here’s some scones, jam and cream to kick it all off.

Walking whilst looking up

Can’t believe I found this in a back street in Ramsbottom. I think the virtues of walking around looking at the sky have just been discovered.

Take that!

Have you ever wondered who used to spend their days stood outside Mark Owen and Howard Donald’s houses waiting for a glimpse of their heroes? Well it turns out that we work amongst one – our Grace spent much of her youth and some of her not so youth hoping for a glimpse of cuddly little Mark. ‘We stood outside his house waiting for him to come and speak to us – he’s lovely’ stated Grace, lost in the memory. – Well, things took a turn for the more bizarre when BLANK chipped in that his partner was arrested for rifleing through cuddly Mark’s bins. The people you work with !

Freebie!

May I take this opportunity to thank our photography library for now offering a free image each week.
Not sure what we’ll use this one for but we like it!

Mushrooms

Imagine my surprise when I woke on saturday morning [after no greater Friday night excess than homemade potato, mushroom and Chorizo soup and 3 cans of Guinness] to find that i’d been transported back in time 65 years – no way I hear you say. Indeed it’s true!
All that’s left to do now is to work out if it was a dream, a kink in the space time continuum or were those mushrooms just a little bit more magic that they looked? – Anonymous.

Willow Wood

PR Manager Grace has recently taken part in a midnight wander, in aid of Willow Wood Hospice. She did the walk in memory of a family friend, Doreen, who passed away at the hospice two years before. It was a great night, which saw 1600 pink ladies taking to the streets to raise much needed cash for this worthwhile cause.

Craig in washing up scandal

craig-washing-up.jpg

Shock, horror!

For the past two years Craig has been telling us that he is allergic to washing up liquid. And more fool us we have believed him. But we now have the evidence that he may have been telling us a few porkies. He has a lot of making up to do . . .

Craig drops his drawers

Every office has a joker – and Craig’s ours. So when he needed something to stand on to take an arty photo this morning, no one was surprised when he opted for a set of desk drawers, rather than a chair like everyone else.

Unfortunatley, in his rush to give David Bailey a run for his money he had a minor disaster. It was only afterwards that he admitted that it was actually Martin’s drawers that he had. . errm . . dropped.

Horsing around

strat-plann-craig-3.jpg

Every year we have a Strat Planning session, where we spend a day assessing the business and planning for the next year. It’s a crucial part of our business plan and vital that everyone in the team is involved.

All in all a really grown up, professional planning session. Then Craig turned up and horsed around in full view of Blackburn Rovers FC, who were having a quiet pre-match lunch in the next room. They drew that game. Funny that.

Google welcomes Spring…

Have to say this is the best Google logo execution we’ve seen in a while. Most probably due to the fact that all of us spend most of our time reading this book in the evening – but hey it’s still a classic piece of illustration!
