Mark Taylor: Managing Director

Mark Joined Clock in 2006 with two main objectives in mind; to help drive the growth and development of the agency in an increasingly strategic direction and to add a unique dimension to the leadership team – that of a non creative, corporate background and experience.

Mark had previously spent 10 years at Air Products and Chemicals Inc as a member of their European Management team, managing two European business units with p+l responsibility for over £50m.

Mark is a post graduate qualified marketeer and has gathered a vast amount of experience across many industrial sectors.

This experience helps afford Clock the unique position of being creative, strategic and commercial. This in turn benefits our clients through our understanding of their commercial and marketing challenges and our ability to deliver real, tangible benefits.

Ann Rimmer: Director of Strategy

Before establishing Clock Creative in 1999, Ann worked for some of the North West and UK’s leading design and advertising agencies, moving through the ranks from Junior Designer to Creative Director. Ann set up Clock to bring companies a genuine alternative to large agencies, focusing on strategic creative communications that deliver results. She worked part time as Design Adviser for Business Link during 2001 and in 2004 Ann received a post graduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and has been North West Head of the DBA since 2009.

Ann studied design and advertising at Salford University and is a passionate advocator of North West design excellence. She has lectured at Bolton and Huddersfield Universities on a voluntary basis and often speaks for the DBA regionally.

Ann has won numerous awards for Clock’s creative work and also business acumen. Today Ann heads up Clock’s creative strategy and communication planning, working closely with clients to ensure their investment in design is well spent and helping many clients reach International markets.


David Bailey: Brand Development Manager

David has spent his creative career in some of the county’s largest and most respected advertising agencies.

Graduating from Art Director at several Manchester agencies, David joined BDH/TBWA as Creative Group Head – later to become Associate Director.

During this period, David spent much of his time in London and Europe on TV campaigns for leading consumer brands such as Ariel, Indesit, Websters Yorkshire Bitter, Henkel and Brother.

From there, he became Director and Creative Director at Broughton-Jacques for 5 years before undertaking a management buyout with his fellow directors.

This subsequently led to the merger with one of Manchester’s largest established business-to-business agencies, CAS, to create Cicero Marketing Communications.

Cicero grew to become one of the country’s leading B2B agencies with major national and international brands and David was a main board director and shareholder of the business.

In 2007, Cicero was sold to international B2B giant, Gyro International and David then went on to work as a creative consultant, and non-executive Director of Clock Creative, helping them to grow and reposition themselves in the market before taking on the key role of Creative Director in January 2010.

David is now Brand Development Manager, helping clients to define their brand positioning and developing brand communications strategies.

Davinia Hamilton: Account Director

Davinia joined Clock in November 2009 to head up the Client Services department. She has 12 years agency experience, starting her career as Account Executive at Three’s Company in Birmingham where she gained invaluable experience handling projects for their international B2B clients. After achieving her CIM accreditation in 2004, Davinia moved to Manchester to work for some of the city’s better known agencies including TBWA/MKP, Connectpoint and Gyro International.

Her industry experience spans B2B and B2C organisations and includes automotive, financial services, travel and tourism, construction and most recently, the pet sector to name a few. Her skills lie in combining considered strategic direction with smooth project co-ordination delivering effective marketing solutions that are results driven.

Some of her current and previous clients range from international, blue chip organisations to smaller regional companies, and include The Thomson Group, Carillion, Airtours, T-Mobile, Arriva, Johnston Sweepers, PetSafe and Fostering Solutions.


Paul Aspden: Head of Digital

Paul joined Clock in September 2009 to establish and lead a dedicated digital department.

He has 11 years previous industry experience gained from running Bubble – his own design business – before taking up the opportunity with Clock.

During his time at Bubble, Paul was responsible for building websites, online applications and games for clients such as PlayStation, Wrangler, Disney, Buena Vista Home Entertainment, Urban Splash, Argent PLC and for many other large organisations.

During his time with Clock, he has been involved with integrating digital into their marketing strategies comprising website design and build, social marketing, email and text campaigns.
